Minecraft
Since my son is not coming home until the end of the month, I took this time to get started in his room this week. Prepped the walls for painting, which him and his dad are doing, and also the big project for him....MINECRAFT BED!
Minecraft is like crack to these kids and I do not get it, but its a fun thing to bring to life.
With the help of Yard Sale groups on Facebook, I purchased 4 pallets for this project.
Painted base color, put together with flat brackets from Wal-mart, painted browns hues of squares on pallets (still have to finish), added rope lighting. Out on white bedding and red blanket. Boom...you got yourself a Minecraft inspired bed and hopefully I will have an ecstatic kid
Oh Brother
So I bought this simple sewing July 4th on the internet and waited patiently for it to come in, Yesterday it finally did. I have never used one in my life
After a little YouTube I made my first set of blackout curtains for daughter's room. I dont think they are THAT bad actually for my first sewing project. I used old blackout curtains as a template and sewed her material onto them. Would you have known?
My Kitchen Makeover
I HATED the color of my cabinets, even though they were fairly new and updated. The color was just so Meeeh....
In comes General Finishes Gen Stain!

Why did I come into Hobby Lobby to look for material for the house and find the employees opening 100's of boxes and stocking Christmas items in July? WHHHY!???
Walked into a thrift shop.....
This was a thrift shop goody I found. Someone tried to do...ehh...something to this. It had beautiful lines on it through and I saw potential.
Just needed a little overall painting. I used Krylon spray paint. LOVE this color.
Tape some stripes. Paint in accent color. Paint some accent places on the front
This drawer liner was bought months before at Target in the $1 section

Finally finished cleaning the house we were renting so we can get our deposit back.
LOOK AT THAT CARPET!
Yup, it was almost white when we moved in, and even with two kids, a cat, and a man child....it is STILL white. Even better than when we moved in. Yay!
